OVP's satellite offices now offering medical, burial aid

The Office of the Vice President has started to provide social services programs, including medical and burial assistance, through its satellite offices.

Vice President Sara Duterte earlier opened satellite offices in several regions across the country so that her office can provide immediate services to the public.

The medical and burial assistance offered in the satellite offices can be availed through identified partner hospitals or direct walk-in applications.

"These established satellite offices across the country will widen the program’s reach and will guarantee a better provision of assistance,” Attorney Reynold Munsayac, Duterte's spokesperson, said in a news release.

Applicants must complete the following requirements to avail the services:

1. Filled-out application form.
2. Submit the complete requirements and form via walk-in to satellite office processor/staff.
3. Wait for the processing of application.
4. The processor/staff will inform the applicant of the date of issuance of assistance that will be provided personally or via email.

The complete steps and requirements can be accessed in this website.

Meanwhile, Munsayac guaranteed that the OVP satellite offices would not be limited to remote areas as Duterte is eyeing "to open more in hopes to reach more Filipinos throughout the country."

The OVP's present satellite offices are located in: Dagupan (Region 1), Cebu (Region VII), Tacloban (Region VIII), Zamboanga (Region IX), Davao (Region XI), and Tandag in Surigao del Sur (Region XIII). —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
