Alan Cayetano's P10,000 ayuda bill now in Senate; seeks law vs online gambling


In a bid to fulfill his campaign promise, returning Senator Alan Peter Cayetano filed the proposed Sampung Libong Pag-Asa Law or the bill which seeks to provide a P10,000 one-time cash aid to each Filipino family.

Last week, Cayetano vowed to immediately file the "P10K Ayuda" Bill but he explained that the measure needed action from the Senate, House of Representatives, and Malacañang.

The lawmaker also filed a measure against online gambling.

Last year, Cayetano expressed an interest to run for president in the 2022 elections to address social issues including online cockfighting as well as online casinos.

The lawmaker also filed the National values, Etiquette, and Moral Uprightness Act as his first Senate bill in the 19th Congress.

Apart from these top three measures, Cayetano also proposed the following bills:

  • Mahal Ko, Barangay Health Worker Ko Law
  • Center for the Elderly in All Cities and Municipalities Act

  • Smart Philippines Act
  • Enhanced Batas Kasambahay Act;
  • Progresibong Pilipinas Para sa Lahat ng Pilipino Act
  • Trust Fund for the Abandoned, Neglected, or Voluntarily Committed Child
  • 4Ps for Disaster Victims Act
  • Health Centers in All Barangays Act
  • Super Health Centers in All Cities and Municipalities Act
  • Floating Hospitals Act
  • AFP Camp Development Fund Act
  • PNP Camp Development Fund Act
