DOJ's Remulla: Bantag to stay as Bureau of Corrections chief

Director General Gerald Bantag will remain chief of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla said Friday.

According to Manny Vargas’ report on Super Radyo dzBB, Remulla added that he had met with Bantag but gave no details on their discussion.

Last March, President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Bantag BuCor chief.

Before this, presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said Bantag was on secondment from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. — DVM, GMA News
