Toni Yulo-Loyzaga takes oath as DENR chief

Climate advocate Ma. Antonia “Toni” Yulo-Loyzaga took her oath as secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources before President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Tuesday.

The ceremony was held at the Study Room of Malacañang Palace.

Yulo-Loyzaga previously served as chairperson of the International Advisory Board of the Manila Observatory, where she campaigned for more scientific research on climate and disaster resilience.

She also served as the Manila Observatory’s executive director and technical adviser of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation. —VBL, GMA News
