9 more senators elected as CA members

The Senate on Monday elected nine more senators to sit as members of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).

During the Senate session, the upper chamber named Senators Imee Marcos, Alan Peter Cayetano, Francis Escudero, Grace Poe, Nancy Binay, JV Ejercito, Jinggoy Estrada, Risa Hontiveros, and Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda as Senate contingents to the bicameral commission.

They will join Senators Cynthia Villar, Bong Go, and Francis Tolentino in scrutinizing the appointments made by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. — BM, GMA News
