Sara Duterte: OVP programs will be available across the country

Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday said her office's programs would be made available throughout the country.

“Marami pong mga programa at proyekto na ipapatupad ang Office of the Vice President (OVP) sa susunod na anim na taon. Ipapatupad natin ang mga programang ito hindi lamang sa NCR (National Capital Region), kundi pati na rin sa Visayas at sa Mindanao,” Duterte said during the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the OVP in Mandaluyong City.

(There are many programs and projects that the OVP will implement in the next six years. We will implement these programs not only in the NCR, but also in the Visayas and Mindanao.)

“Sa loob ng mga susunod na buwan ay maaasahan natin ang pagpapalawak ng mga kasalukuyang programa ng Office of the Vice President, at ang pagsisimula ng mga bagong programa na naglalayong makapagbigay ng tulong sa mas marami pa nating mga kababayan sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa na nangangailangan nito — lalo na at sinisimulan na natin ang mga agresibong hakbang para makabawi tayo sa epekto ng COVID-19 pandemic,” she added.

(In the following months we can expect the expansion of the current programs of the Office of the Vice President, and the initiation of new programs aimed at assisting even more of our countrymen in different parts of the country that need it — especially as we begin aggressive measures to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.)

Duterte said that the OVP programs include Medical and Burial Assistance, pagbaBAGo Campaign, Libreng Sakay, and Peace 911.

She added that The MagNegosyo 'Ta Day peace and livelihood projects will be made available next year.

The OVP earlier opened satellite offices in several regions of the country from which it could provide immediate services.

The satellite offices are located in Dagupan (Region 1), Cebu (Region VII), Tacloban (Region VIII), Zamboanga (Region IX), Davao (Region XI), and Tandag in Surigao del Sur (Region XIII). — DVM, GMA News
