President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Friday led the oath-taking of the newly-elected officers of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP).
"We thank the outgoing officers of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines and congratulate the newly-elected officials and members who took their oath of service today," Marcos said on his Instagram account.
"Together, may we take good care of the trust placed in us by adhering to our pledge to be just and morally upright leaders as we strive to realize our goals for our beloved nation," he added.
In a tweet, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said Marcos reminded the newly-elected local chief executives of their responsibility promoting a people-centered bureaucracy in their communities.
"Malugod nating binabati ang mga bagong opisyal ng LMP at hangad natin ang mabuting pamamahala para sa ikabubuti ng ating mga kababayan," Cruz-Angeles said.
