Palace: OCTA survey shows Marcos admin on right track to economic transformation
The Marcos administration has been doing the right measures to guarantee economic transformation, Malacañang said on Tuesday.
Office of the Press Secretary officer-in-charge Cheloy Garafil said this was reflected in the result of the OCTA Research's latest Tugon ng Masa survey in which 85% of Filipino adults said "yes" when asked if the Philippines was headed in the right direction based on the government's policies.
"The ‘Tugon ng Masa’ survey conducted by the OCTA Research and the Manila Bulletin affirms that the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been doing all the right moves in steering the country to economic transformation from the slump caused by the COVID-19 pandemic," Garafil said in a statement.
Garafil said the numbers represent Filipinos who experienced the extraordinary difficulties the past two years have brought due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It is not an easy task. And the President is determined and committed to making the lives of all Filipinos better, with programs providing job opportunities and ease in doing business, and ensuring food security," Garafil said.
"The President’s call for unity and cooperation is as resounding today as his administration works to fulfill his campaign promises to every Filipino, here and abroad," she added.
The survey was conducted nationwide in the National Capital Region, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao among 1,200 male and female "probability respondents aged 18 years and above."
Respondents from Class AB, C, D, or E homes were interviewed for the study which had a margin of error of ±3%. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
