Marcos on OCTA survey saying 85% Pinoys believe PH headed in right direction: It’s very encouraging

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said Tuesday that he is encouraged with the recent survey result showing 85% of Filipinos believe that the Philippines is headed in the right direction based on the government's policies.

According to the President, the Filipinos should feel that they are being served by the national government.

"Well, of course, it’s very encouraging that people think that we are moving in the right direction. Also specifically, I haven’t been able to study it really but nakita ko ‘yung – it crosses demographics, the number is more or less the same across the demographics," Marcos said in an interview with reporters.

"So that is important to me because every class of society must feel that they are being served by the government. And with that kind of statistic, then it looks like we have at least – we have made the government felt at every level of society. That’s what’s important to me," he added.

Eighty-five of Filipino adults said "yes" when asked if the Philippines was headed in the right direction based on the government's policies.

The OCTA Research's latest Tugon ng Masa survey, which was conducted from October 23 to 27, indicated that only 6% said "no" to the same question.

Nine percent answered didn't know or refused to answer, the survey showed.

The survey was conducted nationwide in the National Capital Region, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao among 1,200 male and female "probability respondents aged 18 years and above." — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
