Marcos thanks Malacañang Press Corps for support in public information

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thanked the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC) on Saturday night for their support in public information.

In a dinner he hosted for the MPC for the holiday season, Marcos cited the journalists' hard work in delivering news to the public.

“So this is our version for all of you who have been so supportive… I know you have been working very, very hard to get the news out so that people know what’s going on, what we are doing here," he said.

Marcos said attending a gathering and partaking in a meal during the holiday season is important especially for Filipinos.

“It is always important to take… especially pagka ganito na ano, ganito na holiday lalo na sa Pinoy, ang Pasko, it’s always important to take a step back a little bit, recharge and think again about what we are doing and that’s what Christmas is to me,” he said.

Marcos is set to leave for Brussels, Belgium on Sunday night to attend the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit.

He will also have at least 10 bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.

Marcos will also meet with European business executives in Brussels to discuss billions of pesos worth of investments expected to generate hundreds of jobs for Filipinos. —KG, GMA Integrated News
