Registration for RFID interoperability starts on Jan. 15, 2023

The Toll Regulatory Board said that Easytrip radio frequency identification (RFID) users can register in Autosweep tollways starting January 15, 2023 for the Toll Interoperability Project, which will allow a singular radio frequency identification (RFID) sticker and a singular wallet for toll payments to be used at all toll expressways.

According to a report on “24 Oras,” with this, Easytrip subscribers are no longer required to get an Autosweep sticker to be able to crossover San Miguel tollways.

Easytrip subscribers are those who cross the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavitex, Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and C5 link.

While the AutoSweep RFID is issued by the San Miguel Corporation for use on the Skyway, the South Luzon Expressway, the STAR Tollway, the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway, and the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway. — Sherylin Untalan
