BI deports 156 unlicensed POGO workers

The Bureau of Immigration has so far deported a total of unlicensed 156 foreign nationals working in Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

According to the BI, this is 42% of the 368 foreign nationals connected with illegal POGO operations in Pasig City and Angeles City.

Data showed that of the 156 foreign nationals, seven were deported on December 16, 2022.

Meanwhile, 27 were deported on December 21, 2022 and 23 on December 28, 2022.

“The BI is in the process of securing all necessary documents and clearances for the deporting of the remaining 212 foreign nationals who lack travel documents and confirmed airline tickets,” it said.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA Integrated News
