Marcos gets ‘very good’ net satisfaction rating in latest SWS survey


President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. received a “very good” net satisfaction rating in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Tuesday. 

“The resulting net satisfaction rating is +68, classified by SWS as very good. This is 5 points up from the very good +63 in October 2022,” the polling firm said.

The SWS survey also showed 75% of adult Filipinos satisfied, 18% undecided, and 7% dissatisfied with the performance of Marcos as president. 

The gross satisfaction with Marcos rose from 71%, gross undecided fell from 21%, and gross dissatisfaction hardly moved from 8% compared to October 2022.

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating was highest in Mindanao at an excellent +72, followed by very good in Balance Luzon at +68, Visayas at +67, and Metro Manila at +65 as of December 2022, the polling firm said.

Compared to October 2022, the SWS said the president’s net satisfaction rating did not change from +72 in Mindanao and +65 in Metro Manila.

It, however, said that it rose by 11 points from +56 in the Visayas and by eight points from +60 in Balance Luzon.

The net satisfaction rating of Marcos was higher in rural areas at an excellent  +74 than in urban areas at a very good +62, according to the polling firm.

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating climbed by 13 points from +61 in rural areas, while it barely moved from +65 in urban areas compared to October 2022.

Meanwhile, the president’s net satisfaction rating was also rated excellent +70 among men and very good +66 among women.

The said survey was conducted from December 10 to 14, 2022, using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide.

It said the sampling error margins are ±2.8% for national percentages, ±5.7% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
