Comelec names Brian Yamsuan as first nominee of Bicol Saro party-list

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has named Brian Raymund Yamsuan as the new first nominee of the Bicol Saro party-list, allowing him to occupy its lone congressional seat.
 
A certificate of proclamation was issued to Yamsuan after the Comelec granted the withdrawal of the old list of nominees.
 
"The vacancy in the seat of Bicol Saro Party-List was certified by the House of Representatives through a letter from Secretary General Reginald S. Velasco dated February 15, 2023. According to the letter, Representative Nicolas C. Enciso VIII has been expelled from the Bicol Saro Party-List, which is a ground for his removal from office and in effect created the vacancy," the Comelec said in a statement on Tuesday.
 
Apart from Yamsuan, the Comelec also acknowledged Lara Maria Villafuerte as the second nominee, Jocelyn Faustino Fortuno as the third nominee, Arron James Pagaduan as the fourth nominee, and Mac Arthur Cuison Samson Jr. as the fifth nominee. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
