Marcos hails courageous women on International Women’s Day

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. lauded women who display courage and determination in life.

In his official Twitter account on Wednesday, Marcos wrote: “Saludo tayo sa ating mga kababaihan na patuloy na nagpapakita ng tapang at determinasyon sa kanilang tahanan, trabaho at komunidad.”

(We salute women who continue to show courage and determination in their homes, jobs, and in the community.)

“Happy International Women’s Day!” he greeted.

Marcos made the greeting with a poster showing First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and his female Cabinet officials, including Vice President Sara Duterte, Department of Health officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire, Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Environment Secretary Antonia Yulo Loyzaga, and Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil. —Anna Felicia Bajo/VBL, GMA Integrated News
