President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his entourage has arrived in the United Kingdom to attend the coronation of King Charles III.
Marcos was welcomed by the king's representatives with whom he had a brief meeting.
According to a social media post by the Presidential Communications Office, Marcos also toured the Gatwick airport and met its officials to gather ideas on how to improve operations of Philippine airports.
Gatwick is regarded as one of the busiest airports in the world.
Marcos came from the United States where he met with President Joe Biden and other US top officials.
Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos are expected to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace on May 5.
King Charles III’s coronation ceremony will be on May 6.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
