Marcos to Inday Sara on her 45th birthday: Ignore the ‘tambaloslos’

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Wednesday greeted Vice President Sara Duterte on her 45th birthday, with an advice that she rest for a while and ignore the "tambaloslos."

In a video message, Marcos told her running-mate in Eleksyon 2022 to allot time for herself and do not mind the "tambaloslos."

"Inday Sara, happy happy birthday! Magpakasaya ka muna diyan. Magpahinga ka muna sandali sa iyong trabaho," Marcos said.

(Inday Sara, happy happy birthday! Just enjoy the day. Rest for a while from your duties and responsibilities.)

"Bigyan mo muna ng kaunting oras ang iyong sarili at please 'wag mo na pansinin ang mga tambaloslos diyan," he added.

(Give some time for yourself and ignore the "tambaloslos" there.)

Among the Visayans, "tambaloslos" usually refers to a greedy mythical creature that has a large mouth and leads people astray.

To recall, Duterte previously posted a photo of herself with a cryptic caption: “Sa imong ambisyon, do not be tambaloslos.”

This came after she announced her irrevocable resignation as member of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party, just two days after former President and Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was replaced as senior deputy speaker. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
