Motorcycle rams stalled cement mixer in Pasig; driver killed

MANILA, Philippines - A speeding motorcycle rammed a stalled cement mixer truck on Meralco Avenue in Pasig City early Thursday morning, killing the driver on the spot, radio DZBB reported. The fatality was identified as Benjamin Carpio, 30, of Mandaluyong City. Witnesses said Carpio, who was driving a black XRM motorcycle bearing license plate UI 7114, tried to overtake a taxi but slammed into the cement mixer that stalled in the middle of the street, witnesses told DZBB. Police has questioned the taxi driver after witnesses claimed he did not let Carpio overtake his cab. - GMANews.TV
