Cacdac named Department of Migrant Workers OIC

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has designated Hans Leo Cacdac as officer-in-charge of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Malacañang announced Wednesday.

This developed following the death of late DMW Secretary Susan Ople in August.

Prior to his appointment, Cacdac was an undersecretary for the DMW. He also served as the administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration or OWWA.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Communications Office also named Jennifer Pia Las as the new chairperson of the Department of Social Welfare and Development National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, and Jose Lim IV as Assistant Secretary for the Department of Transportation. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
