Philippines logs 136 new COVID-19 cases
The Philippines logged 136 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the country's overall total of confirmed coronavirus cases to 4,112,799.
The Department of Health's COVID-19 tracker reported an increase in active cases to 2,775, the highest tally in 17 reporting days and 66 cases more than Friday's 2,709 active cases, according to GMA Integrated News Research.
Total recoveries increased to by 440 cases to 4,043,339, while the death toll remained at 66,685.
The National Capital Region was the region with the most new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks with 678, followed by Calabarzon with 279, Central Luzon with 192, Davao region with 137, and Soccsksargen with 106.
Among cities and provinces, Quezon City saw the most new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks with 147, followed by Rizal province with 97, Cavite province with 91, Bulacan province with 82, and Davao City with 76.
COVID-19 bed occupancy is at 13.5% with 2,853 occupied—including 1,992 ICU beds—and 18,259 vacant — BM, GMA Integrated News
