NBI nabs extortion, blackmail suspect in Quezon City

A September 19 National Bureau of Investigation Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division entrapment operation in Quezon City led to the arrest of a suspect who was accused of extortion and blackmail.

According to a statement released by the NBI, the suspect had sent slanderous messages to his victim - a woman he was in a relationship with.

The suspect allegedly threatened to spread nude photos and sex videos of the victim if he was not paid P10,000.

He also threatened to rape the victim’s 15-year-old daughter.

The suspect faced charges for violating R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) and Robbery (Extortion). — DVM, GMA Integrated News
