Security guard killed by stray bullet as policemen chased suspect

A bank security guard was killed after he was accidentally hit by a bullet while police chased a suspect in Caloocan City.

According to Maki Pulido's report on "24 Oras," the victim Ariel Clavido died on the spot while the armed man continued to flee.

Police later received information about a patient being treated in a hospital for a bullet wound in the stomach.

He was identified as Arvee Crisostomo, 30. He's still in the hospital but is now considered a suspect.

The chase started when the suspect fled from a police checkpoint on Rizal Extension.

The rider tried to escape but fell.
