Marcos declares Oct. 30 special non-working day for 2023 BSKE


President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has declared October 30, 2023 as a special non-working day throughout the country for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

The declaration was contained in Proclamation No. 359 dated October 9, 2023.

"Whereas, it is imperative that the people be given the full opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right of suffrage," Marcos said in his proclamation, referring to the 2023 BSKE.

"Now, therefore, I, Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 30 October 2023, as a special (non-working) day throughout the country," he added. --KBK, GMA Integrated News
