Marcos names Jesus Morales as new PSG chief


President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Brigadier General Jesus Nelson B. Morales as the commander of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).

The Presidential Communications Office said Morales is a ranking general from the Philippine Air Force.

Morales replaced Brigadier General Ramon Zagala, who will now serve as commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippine's Civil Relations Service.

The PSG is a combined elite unit tasked to provide security and escort to the President of the Philippines, the President's immediate family, former presidents of the Philippines as well as visiting heads of state.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
