BI bars blacklisted foreign national accused of sexual abuse
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Monday said it prevented a blacklisted American who is accused of sexual abuse from re-entering the Philippines.
In a statement, Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said BI agents intercepted 40-year-old Jared Allen Kasper at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 after he arrived from Los Angeles on Saturday.
Tansingco said Kasper was placed on the BI's blacklist in October after the bureau received reports from three female victims that the American allegedly sexually abused and exploited them.
“The complainants alleged that there were at least 20 Filipino women who were victimized by him but only the three of them filed a formal complaint,” Tansingco said.
According to the bureau, the women said Kasper promised to marry them if they would sleep with them. They also accused him of taking nude pictures of them.
Records show that Kasper arrived in the Philippines in July and was deported in August. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA Integrated News
