PH logs 226 new COVID-19 cases


The Philippines logged 226 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total cases to 4,123,920.

Based on the Department of Health's latest bulletin, the active cases stood at 3,226.

This is the highest number of active cases recorded in more than two months, according to GMA Integrated News Research.

The total recoveries increased to 4,053,939 with 200 new recoveries.

No new deaths were reported as the death toll remained at 66,755.

In the past two weeks, the NCR had the most number of cases with 628, followed by Calabarzon with 357, Central Luzon with 217, Western Visayas with 170, and Central Visayas with 109.
