DepEd tops trust, performance ranking in Q3 2023 survey
The Department of Education landed the top rank for trust and performance among government agencies in the 3rd Quarter of 2023, according to the OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa survey.
DepEd received a 79% trust rating and an 80% performance ranking overall.
Most of the adult Filipinos who trusted the agency hailed from the Visayas and Mindanao, with both locations giving the department an 88% rating.
The agency was closely followed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Public Works and Highways at 75%, the Department of Health at 74%, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development placing fifth with 73%.
The top five trusted agencies were also the same five top-performing agencies.
Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Budget and Management received the lowest trust ratings with 16% and 12% respectively.
The DTI also had the highest dissatisfaction rating among departments with 19%, followed closely by the Department of Agriculture at 14% and the Department of Finance at 13%.
The survey was taken using face-to-face interviews of over 1,200 adult Filipinos aged 18 and up from September 30 to October 4. It has a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
