DOH records 218 new COVID-19 cases


The Department of Health (DOH) registered 218 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, pushing the nationwide caseload to 4,126,175.

 

Data from the DOH showed that the active tally is currently at 3,423 while recoveries jumped to 4,055,986.

 

The death toll remains at 66,766.
 

Among the regions, the National Capital Region had the most cases in the past 14 days with 888, followed by CALABARZON with 375, Western Visayas with 251, Central Luzon with 181, and Central Visayas with 119.
 

Meanwhile, Quezon City reported the most new cases among the cities and provinces with 226, followed by Cavite with 116, Manila with 115, Rizal with 111, and Makati City with 95.


No individuals tested on December 6, while only one testing lab submitted data. 


The current bed occupancy is 15.2% with 2,878 occupied and 16,096 vacant.—RF, GMA Integrated News
