VP Sara thanks Pinoys for DepEd's high OCTA survey ratings
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte welcomed Saturday the results of the recent OCTA Research study, which found the Department of Education (DepEd) as the most trusted and top-performing government agency.
Under Duterte's leadership, DepEd ranked first for both trust and performance in the Tugon ng Masa third quarter 2023 nationwide survey by OCTA Research.
"Taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa mamamayang Pilipino para sa patuloy na tiwala at suporta na ibinibigay ninyo sa DepEd," said Duterte, adding that the department was honored by the survey results.
(I sincerely thank the Filipino people for the continued trust and support you give to DepEd.)
Duterte stressed, however, that the poll results would not have been possible from the work of just one leader or a few members of the department.
"Ito ay bunga ng kapit-bisig na pagtutulungan at pinagsama-samang kakayahan tungo sa iisang mithiin ng mga taong may pagmamahal sa bansa," Duterte said.
(This was achieved through the efforts of people who love our nation, working together in unity towards a common goal.)
She added that, "Ang pagkilala na ito ay ang pagkilala sa dedikasyon at puso sa serbisyo publiko ng ating mga guro, kawani, parents' support groups, private partners at stakeholders na nagkakaisang tuparin at buuin ang pangarap ng bawat batang Pilipino," she said.
(This recognizes the dedication and love for public service of our teachers, staff, parents' support groups, private partners, and stakeholders, who are united in fulfilling and building the dreams of every Filipino child.)
Duterte assured the public that they would continue to fight for better education and security for the Filipino youth because this was critical to achieving a stronger nation.
In the Tugon ng Masa survey, DepEd received a 79% trust rating and an 80% performance ranking overall.
Most of the adult Filipinos who trusted the agency hailed from the Visayas and Mindanao, with both areas giving the department an 88% rating. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
