Philippines logs 360 new COVID-19 cases
The Philippines logged 360 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the country's total COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic to 4,130,671.
This is the 12th reporting day of at least 180 daily new cases, according to GMA Integrated News Research.
The Department of Health's COVID-19 tracker also showed that active cases increased by 118 to 4,898, the highest tally in 95 reporting days since July 23's 5,121 active cases.
Recoveries rose by 242 cases to 4,058,978, while the death toll remains at 66,795.
The region with the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days is the National Capital Region with 1,946, followed by Calabarzon with 751, Western Visayas with 475, Central Luzon with 329, and Central Visayas with 138.
Among cities and provinces, Quezon City reported the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 549, followed by Rizal province with 241, Makati City with 204, Cavite province with 203, and Iloilo province with 201.
COVID-19 bed occupancy is at 15.9%, with 2,953 beds occupied—including 1,861 in the ICU—and 15,565 vacant. — BM, GMA Integrated News
