Man arrested for spreading sensitive photos, videos of ex-girlfriend

The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group arrested a suspect for allegedly spreading sensitive photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend.

According to a 24 Oras report on Friday, the arrest was made on the same day that victim “Clarice” filed a complaint,

“Mabuti sana pictures na wala ang mukha ko, pati video eh. Buti sana kung isa lang, ang dami. Sobrang pag-aapak na ginawa nya, pagkababae ko sobrang ubos na,” said Clarice.

According to the victim, the suspect allegedly sent the photos and videos to her relatives after their first break-up.

They got back together briefly on December 22.

After their second split, the suspect allegedly sent her photos and videos to a co-worker.

The suspect would face 4 different charges, including Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act and Grave Coercion complaints.

“Ginamitan pa nya ng ICT so one-degree higher na naman ang penalty niyan. So, kung six to 12 years ang penalty niyan, magiging 12 to 20 years 'yan 'pag nasintensyahan siya ng korte,” said PNP-ACG Cyber Response Unit Chief Police Colonel Jay Guillermo. — Jiselle Casucian/DVM, GMA Integrated News
