EduRank names UP Diliman as top Philippine university

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman emerged as the top university out of 229 universities in the country, according to EduRank.

EduRank is an independent, metric-based ranking of universities worldwide. It analyzes higher education institutions based on three factors: research output, non-academic reputation, and the impact of recognized alumni.

According to the latest rankings published on February 29, UP Diliman placed 374th out of 5,830 Asian universities and was ranked 1,367th in the 2024 global rating.

It was 1,468th out of 14,131 for non-academic prominence and scored in the top 50% across 89 research topics. It has 81 notable alumni.

De La Salle University ranked second in the Philippines and 507th across Asia. It placed 1,752nd out of 14,131 universities worldwide.

Ateneo de Manila University was in third place. It ranked 565th among Asian countries and 1,931st in the global rankings.

The University of Santo Tomas was ranked fourth in the country and 836th in Asia. It was the 2,652nd-best university globally.

UP Los Baños placed fifth in the Philippine rankings and 869th across Asia. It was placed 2,761st on the 2024 university list.
