National Irrigation Administration (NIA) head Eduardo Guillen said Tuesday that P29 per kilo of rice would be sold in August in Kadiwa centers of the agency.

(We have a big project in NIA and it's the contract farming. We could sell P29 per kilo of rice by August.)

''We have around 100 million kilos of rice na projected na ma-produce po natin by August. Iyon po ang target ng DA (Department of Agriculture), iyon po ang target natin by… sabi ng DA, July may supply sila eh pero ang NIA, by August po kami, iyong P29 na bigas,'' he added.

(We have around 100 million kilos of rice that we could produce by August. That's the target of DA. The DA said that by July, we already have supply and by August, we have the P29.)
