Four Filipino high school students have brought home honors for the Philippines in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2024, reputed as the world's largest pre-college competition for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday announced their victories, congratulating them for bagging the international awards in the field of science and technology.

Three of the students hail from the Cebu City National Science High School, namely Michaela Ria Rentuza, Mikaella Rose Macabata, and Wesley Secuya. They won the Regeneron ISEF's fourth grand award for Cellular and Molecular Biology Category.

Meanwhile, Arnon Yzabel Guinto of the Tarlac National High School won the National Geographic Society's Excellence in Geography and Geospatial Science Award.

"Patuloy nating pasiklabin ang ating pagmamahal sa pagtuklas at paglikha para sa mas magandang kinabukasan," the agency said.
