Missing PDL found hiding inside NBP facility

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Thursday announced it found the person deprived of liberty (PDL) earlier reported missing at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on Wednesday.

According to BuCor, the PDL was from the NBP's medium security camp (MedSeCamp).

Authorities discovered that he was missing after conducting the final physical head count of PDLs at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

He was found inside Site Harry at the MedSeCamp at 3:20 a.m. Thursday.

Due to this, BuCor Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. ordered officers to do a visual inspection of PDLs every five minutes.

“In that case, we will be able to track them down immediately to know their whereabouts should they not be on their designated work assignments,” Catapang said in a statement. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
