More than 23.8 million students have so far enrolled as the school year 2024 to 2025 went into its second week, data from the Department of Education (DepEd) showed.

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), meanwhile, logged the least number of enrollees at 392,708.
During the opening of School Year 2024-2025 on July 29, Education Secretary Sonny Angara earlier said that students who have not enrolled yet still have time to do so until September this year.
“Well, usually naman continuous enrollment pa rin ‘yan eh. Karamihan diyan nage-enroll three to four weeks bago pasukan at bukas pa ‘yan ‘til September,” Angara said.
(Usually, the enrollment period is continuous. Many of them have already enrolled three to four weeks before the opening of classes, and the enrollment is still open until September.)
A total of 42 schools in Malabon City have yet to open classes as heavy rains started pouring again last night which resulted in flooding in some areas in the city. —NB, GMA Integrated News
