Marcos ensures timely completion of Davao infra projects
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Thursday ensured the timely completion of Davao infrastructure projects before the end of his term in 2028.
Marcos said this during his speech at the distribution of land titles and certificates of condonation with release of mortgage (COCROM) in Panabo. He stressed that the completion of the projects would pave the way for prosperity and development in Mindanao.
Marcos is also eyeing to revisit the region to inaugurate significant projects, including the Tagum City Bypass Road, the Island Garden City of Samal Circumferential Road – both are expected to be completed by 2026 – and the Carmen-Tagum City Coastal Road.
(This will aid in easing traffic and improving the transportation system in the region as well as elevating business, tourism, and agriculture.)
(The government will continue to give projects that will develop agricultural lands and the entire agriculture sector.)
Marcos underscored that the timely completion of these infrastructure projects would provide convenience for residents in the region and facilitate faster transport of goods.
He said this would also enhance the region’s tourism industry.
The President also vowed to provide full support for initiatives that are promoting tourism and arts in the Davao region.
(I promise to support projects and programs that are pushing for tourism development in the region and those that will recognize your skills.)
Marcos distributed COCROMs to more than 11,000 beneficiaries across Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental.
He also awarded 672 e-titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur.
