Vic Sotto, Darryl Yap arrive at Muntinlupa court for hearing
Vic Sotto and Darryl Yap on Friday morning arrived at Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 for the hearing of the petition for writ of habeas data filed by the actor against the film.
Upon arrival, reporters asked Sotto about his petition to take down Yap’s upcoming movie “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma.”
“Sorry ha, hindi puwede magsalita (Sorry, I cannot speak about it),” said Sotto, who arrived at the court with wife Pauleen Luna.
Yap was also asked for his thoughts when he arrived.
“I'm not really a morning person and I'm not allowed to say anything,” the film director told reporters.
In his petition for a writ, Sotto asked the court to compel Yap to remove and take down all promotional materials, teaser video, and other content relative to the film, which depict Sotto’s personal information.
He also asked the court to prohibit Yap from further disseminating any materials relative to the film on all platforms.
Yap is facing 19 counts of cyberlibel filed by Sotto in connection with The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma movie.
The Muntinlupa court has issued a gag order in connection with the case.
Yap's motion to consolidate the cases Sotto filed against him was also denied by the court.
