President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday wished Filipino Muslims well as they observe Al-Isra Wal Mi'raj 2025, encouraging them to pursue diligence and perseverance to achieve success.

Al-Isra Wal Mi’raj 2025 is an event sacred to Muslims as it marks the miraculous night journey and ascension to the heavens of the Prophet Muhammad, the Office of the President said.

"This revered event in Islam, the Night Journey and Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), symbolizes the steadfast devotion and spiritual resilience of our Muslim brothers and sisters in honoring Allah, the All-Hearing and All-Seeing," Marcos said in his message.

"His miraculous journey to find greater spiritual truth, knowledge, and revelation reflects the deep commitment of the faithful to understand the significance and purpose of their continuing traditions of faith," he added.

Marcos then encouraged Pinoy Muslims: "As you venerate this historic miracle through supplication and prayer, may its essence inspire among the Muslim faithful the value of perseverance through hardship and grief."

"Let this observance also serve as a reminder that success is the reward of diligence and amity, and that sacrifice, persistence, and faith can guide us towards realizing our shared purpose in building a peaceful and progressive nation for all," he added.

Marcos ended his message by wishing Filipino Muslims "a meaningful and solemn observance." —KG, GMA Integrated News
