Marcos wants 12-0 sweep for PFP senatorial bets
For the 2025 midterm elections, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said he is hoping for a 12-0 sweep of the Senate seats by the administration candidates.
“Ang nais naming maging resulta — siyempre ang lagi naming iniisip, dapat talaga sa unang-una, sa Senado 12-0 dapat, ‘yan ang habol natin,” he said during the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) Leaders’ Convergence Summit at The Manila Hotel in Manila on Friday.
(What we want to be the result — of course, we always think it should be first, in the Senate 12-0, that's what we're after.)
Marcos, PFP chairperson, led the ceremony flexing that all members of the senatorial slate and the local candidates are "the best."
“Palagay ko naman ay napili natin ang pinakamahusay, pinakamagagaling, at pinakamatibay hindi lamang sa eleksyon kung hindi sa serbisyo publiko. Ganoon kataas ang quality ng miyembro at ng kandidato ng PFP, dapat… Basta kami sa leadership ng PFP sinasabi natin: hindi — walang dapat matalo dito sa ating mga kandidato dahil ‘yan ang pinakamagagaling,” he added.
(I think we have chosen the brilliant ones, the best, and the strongest in the election and the public service. The quality of PFP members and candidates is so high, it should be... As long as we in the PFP leadership say no, none of our candidates will lose because they are the best.)
The chief executive highlighted that the best people and the most effective public servants in the Philippines are under their umbrella.
He said they intended to add more people to the party to help the administration develop and implement their plans for our country.
"At asahan ninyo, the PFP is the strongest party in the country today," he concluded, as he also wished the candidates good luck as they are about to start their campaign next month.
(And expect that the PFP is the strongest party in the country today.) —LDF, GMA Integrated News
