Marcos meets with MMDA to tackle traffic plan
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday met with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to discuss the Comprehensive Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) for Metro Manila and its nearby provinces.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the CTMP aims to establish an inclusive, people-oriented, sustainable mobility system.
This could be done by optimizing transportation infrastructure and implementing an effective traffic management strategy, the PCO added.
Present during the meeting were MMDA chairman Romando Artes, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Department of Transportation (DOTr) chief Jaime Bautista. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
