PHLPost unveils special stamps for Valentine’s Day

In a move that will surely warm the hearts of philatelists (stamp collectors), the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) announced the release of a special set of stamps and souvenirs for this year’s Valentine’s Day.

According to a statement Thursday, the new “Perfect Match” Valentine’s Stamps of 2025 feature animated illustrations of Filipino food pairings performing acts of love and affection such as writing love letters, reciting poetry, being of service, and performing the traditional harana (Filipino serenade).

“PHLPost’s letter and delivery services act as more than just a service—they are a bridge that connects hearts across the globe. Every letter we send carries a story of love, memories, and unforgettable connections,” said Postmaster General Luis Carlos.

“Despite the advancements in technology, the PHLPost continues to contribute to fostering communication across the country. We are continuously improving services such as the Express Mail Service (EMS) and Postal ID to ensure the trust and confidence of the public,” he added.

Carlos said the stamps symbolize the role of PHLPost in connecting people through sending letters and gifts to their loved ones. Each of these has a specific theme: "Liham ng Pag-ibig (Love Letter) represented by Sorbetes and Monay; Pagbigkas ng Tula (Poetry Recital) with Kape and Pandesal; Paninilbihan (Servitude) featuring Puto and Dinuguan; and Harana (Serenade) depicted by Champorado and Tuyo.

PHLPost said each pairing reflects the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and the heartfelt ways Filipinos express their love.
