Palau President Whipps arrives at Palace for bilateral talk with Marcos

Palau President Surangel Whipps Jr. on Monday arrived at Malacañang Palace to have a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.

Whipps was welcomed by Marcos and other Philippine officials at the Kalayaan Grounds.

During the two leaders’ meeting, Marcos is expected to exchange views with Whipps about expanding existing bilateral cooperation on fisheries, trade, investment, connectivity and people-to-people ties.

They will also explore new avenues of collaboration, particularly about the health and labor sectors.

Marcos and Whipps will discuss South-South cooperation, regional concerns and common advocacies at the multilateral arena. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
