UP Law releases local translations of impeachment primer
The University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law has publicized translations of its impeachment primer and frequently asked questions (FAQs) in Filipino, Cebuano, and Ilocano.
According to UP Law, the translations were prepared by students and alumni of the College and were funded by the Malcolm Foundation, “hoping to keep as much of the general public informed about this important issue.”
The College first released the primer originally in English last month, following the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte by the House of Representatives on February 5, 2025.
The document was prepared by Assistant Professor Paolo Tamase and his team “to provide the media, the public, and officials with basic information on impeachment proceedings.”
