4 dead as fire hits Malabon residential area
Four people were reported killed after a fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Longos, Malabon City early Thursday morning, according to a report of Super Radyo dzBB’s Allan Gatus on Dobol B TV.
A relative of the victims said the fatalities include her three siblings and one niece, with age from nine to 38 years old. One of the killed family members was a person with a disability.
The Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said the fire started around 3:45 a.m. and reached the first alarm around 3:52 a.m.
Around 41 people or 10 families were affected after the fire spread to six houses.
The fire was declared out around 6:52 a.m., according to the BFP-NCR.
Authorities have yet to provide information on the cause of fire and estimated cost of damage as of posting time.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA Integrated News
