No meeting with Kiko, Bam, says Alyansa exec

Alyansa campaign manager and Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco denied a report that he met with former Senators Francis ''Kiko'' Pangilinan and Bam Aquino to discuss their possible inclusion in the administration's Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas.

''That’s completely untrue. I haven’t met with Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan,'' Tiangco told reporters.

''The Alyansa slate is solid and fully aligned with President Bongbong Marcos’ agenda,'' he added.

This clarification also came after Senator Imee Marcos announced her withdrawal from the senatorial lineup that was being endorsed by her brother, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.

In her statement, Imee cited the actions of the administration during the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte which she said are different from her ideals and principles.

Tiangco has said they respect the senator's decision: ''We respect Senator Imee’s decision. We wish her luck in the campaign.''

Both in Cavite and Laguna, the President did not mention his sister in his endorsement speech. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
