Dengue cases in the country climb to 76K
Dengue cases all over the country reported from January 1 up to March 15, 2025 have increased to a total of 76,425, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
The latest figure is 78% higher than the 42,822 recorded in the same period last year, according to DOH.
Meanwhile, the case fatality rate remained at less than 1%.
Regions with the highest cases of dengue are CALABARZON, with 15,108 cases, National Capital Region with 13, 761 cases, and Central Luzon with 12, 424 cases.
Patients are mostly 14 years old and below.
The DOH also observed that a large percentage of recorded fatalities showed signs like stomach pain, bleeding, vomiting, and weakness.
The DOH continues to encourage the public to clean areas that may serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
