Super Radyo dzBB's Christian Maño said the incident was confirmed by Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon who also assured the public that all passengers and crew on board PAL PR102 were safe.

The report added that according to Dizon, aircraft doors were opened for ventilation after the incident and the plane is currently undergoing inspection.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is now coordinating with PAL for other details and possible assistance needed.

The agency is also working with Haneda Airport to assist the passengers.

"PAL's Boeing 777 - with registry number RPC 7782) - carrying 355 passengers landed safely.
Passengers currently remain on board as we work closely with airport authorities in Haneda to ensure a smooth and safe disembarkation," PAL said.

"Rest assured that we are in full coordination with Philippine government authorities through the office of the DOTR Secretary and local airport authorities in Haneda," it added.—Giselle Ombay/AOL, GMA Integrated News
