Comelec opens National Technical Support Center for Eleksyon 2025
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday opened the National Technical Support Center (NTSC), a call center hub that will cater to queries and concerns for Eleksyon 2025.
“Ang gusto natin lahat ng tawag sa lahat ng presinto, paaralan, canvasing centers, repair hubs ng Commission ay matatanggap at malalaman natin dito,” said Comelec Chair George Garcia as he led the walk-through for the new facility.
According to Comelec, at least 900 personnel were hired to provide technical and non-technical support at the NTSC.“Dito papasok lahat ng problema, kung meron man, mula sa bawat presinto, whether technical or non-technical problems… Ang nakalagay sa protocol dapat yung isang tawag masasagot in five seconds,” he added.
(In fact, all issues from precincts, whether technical or non-technical problems, should be coursed here. Our protocol is that all calls should be answered within five seconds.)
The facility will also serve as the monitoring center for the online voting and counting system for overseas voters.
Comelec has said that at least 36,000 overseas Filipino voters have already enrolled for the pre-voting enrollment system for Eleksyon 2025.
There are 69.6 million registered voters for the May polls and of that number, 68.4 million are in the country while 1.2 million are overseas voters. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
