Alleged mastermind in killing of businessman Dominic Sytin back in PH

The alleged mastermind in the murder of businessman Dominic Sytin in 2018 was sent back to the Philippines from Malaysia late Friday night.

Alan Dennis Lim Sytin— brother of the victim—was presented by the Philippine National Police to the media upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, according to a report by GMA Integrated News' Jhomer Apresto.

Alan Dennis told reporters that he would refute the charges in court.

"All I want is a fair trial and for both sides of the story to be heard," he said in a mix of English and Filipino.

On November 28, 2018, the police said the gunman, identified as Edgardo Luib, shot Sytin in front of a hotel in Subic Bay Freeport.

Luib, arrested and convicted for the crime, confessed that Alan Dennis orchestrated the killing of his brother, who was the founder of United Auctioneers Inc.

Alan Dennis was arrested with help from the Royal Malaysia Police on March 22.

An accomplice identified as Edrian Rementilla, also known as "Ryan Rementilla” and “Oliver Fuentes,” was arrested in Iligan City also on March 22. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
